The service is operational from Monday to Saturday. Schedule:
First Departures: from Nesima station at 06:40, from Stesicoro station at 07:00.
Last Departures: from Nesima station at 20:45, from Stesicoro station at 9.10 pm.
In the morning until 3:10 pm the frequency of the races is 10 minutes, after 3.10 pm it is 15 minutes until the end of the service.
The extension of opening hours or opening on extraordinary days is frequent during special events.
The Nesima - Stesicoro route has a 14-minute journey and includes stops in the stations of San Nullo, Milo, Borgo, Giuffrida, Italy, Galatea, Giovanni XXIII. The Cibali station will come into operation later, the same for the Porto Station.

The service is still very partial. The next opening of the stations Europa, Picanello and Ognina should be the starting point to strengthen it.
To be clear: this is the urban stretch (railway passing) of the Messina-Syracuse railway line that in recent years is being upgraded (doubling) and modernization.

AMT offers city bus which connect every major interest point in Catania.
The Catania Metro has been in operation since 27 June 1999,and consists of a single 5.74-kilometre (3.57 mi) line with six stations. There's one ride every 10 minutes until 3:00 p.m. and then one ride every 15 minutes until the end of the service, around 9 p.m. Currently it operates only on weekdays.
